Build the house with us.

We are raising 200k to build-out our permanent location, right in the heart of downtown Opelika. This building is more than just a permanent location to gather as a church community. It is a place for life change, a place for kids to discover Jesus in a safe, clean and fun environment. Operating a coffee shop allows our community to gather together. A permanent location allows us to serve our community right from the heart of Opelika, and reach our city for Jesus.  Every dollar raised goes specifically towards our "Build the House" fund.

A little preview of whats to come.

5,000 initial square feet, with up to 10,000 more to grow into. A dedicated kids space with room for them to discover and grow closer to Jesus. A functional lobby that doubles as a coffee shop during the week to foster community and serve our city. A state of the art, thoughtfully designed worship center that reflects our style and honors the Lord.

Giving

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

- Matthew 6:21

A FEW THOUGHTS ON GIVING.

God is generous and so he calls us to be as well.  What we do with what God has given us shows the world where our hearts are at and helps proclaim the gospel. We want to glorify God with every area of our lives, and that includes what we do with our finances.
Deuteronomy 8:18: Remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth.

GIVING BUILDS THE HOUSE.

When we give to God through the local Church we are able to not just physically build his house, but to expand and continue the mission God has for Neos.
Ezra 2:68–69: Families gave freewill offerings toward the rebuilding of the house of God.  According to their ability they gave to the treasury for this work.

TITHING IS OUR OBEDIENCE.

Not only is the principle of tithing a commandment its more for US than it is for GOD. When we trust God with our finances, he unlocks blessing over our lives. Not because we GIVE but BECAUSE we TRUST.

Proverbs 3:9–10: Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.

WE GIVE FROM A POSTURE OF GRATITUDE

While the principle of the tithe is still in place, Jesus was more concerned with the heart posture when we give.  Life gets crazy, and yes Gods blessing is still waiting on you. But God is more concerned with where you heart is at rather than the size of the gift. Its all about the heart posture of Joy when we give.
2 Corinthians 9:7: Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
